New owners Kim and Michael McFayden took over the store in August 2004 and set about expanding and refining Habitat’s offering of premium furniture, homewares and garden decoration. We have searched far and wide to enable Habitat to offer the right quality for our customers, many of our collections being exclusive to Habitat in the Newcastle region.
As a result Habitat now offers the ultimate shopping experience for those who love decorating, bringing together not only a wide array of ideas and products for your home but also our unique product sourcing service for those hard to find items - you are not restricted to what’s on our floor.
In early 2005 our Interior Design service was introduced, headed up by our qualified interior designer Melissa Webster. The design service has been a huge success and transformed many homes, offices and retail showrooms into everything our customers have hoped for and more (see our customer testimonials in Design Service).
